Paulette June Clark/Poole, 68, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away on the 14th of July 2020.

She was born to parents James Calvin Clark and Olive Vastie Melton/Clark on the 14th of March 1952 in Wadesboro, North Carolina.

She graduated from Piedmont High School in 1970. She went on to study Cosmetology at Southeastern Beauty College and graduated with many Best in Class Awards. Paulette worked as a Salon Owner and Stylist for 42 years.

After 42 years of service, she retired from Razzle Dazzle Salon and A Step Up Salon in 2018. She also worked at The Purple Picket and The Pick-it Furniture Company in Design and Sales, retiring in 2019.

Paulette was one of the most talented people you would ever meet! She possessed the ability to make everything beautiful. Whether she was giving you an amazing hairstyle or designing the most fabulous sofa, her clients always walked away in awe and amazement. She was also a committed and beautiful friend to so many of her clients, building lifelong relationships and deep enduring friendships with many of these precious ladies. They were in so many ways her family; she loved all of you so very much!

Although her passing was very unexpected, she has walked a true believers path. Her reliance on our Heavenly Father and her commitment as a Christian is an inspiration to us all. We are absolutely sure she is in heaven at this moment creating something stunningly beautiful, then baking an incredible cake, followed by dancing on the streets of gold. She could never sit still. She was always so selfless. Her acts of service and kindness to her family will never be forgotten.

She was an amazing cook and a gifted baker. Carolina Beach Shag Dancing was her favorite past time and sport. She was an excellent dancer and loved her beach gal pals to the moon and back. When she was younger, she enjoyed anything to do with art and crafts.

My mother, my best friend, you will be missed so much by all of us and never forgotten.

Paulette is survived by Angelina Danette and Kent Hovey, her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law; Britton Edwards/Allen, Teddy Piper Edwards and Kenna Faith Hovey, her adoring granddaughters; Kinley Hovey, her grandson; Roger and Linda Clark, Darrell and Laurie Anne Clark and Dwayne Clark, her 3 incredible brothers and their wives.

With an overwhelming display of love and selflessness, her brother Darrell and his wife Laurie Anne allowed her to live with them in their beautiful home for the last three years of her life. We are so grateful for their love and commitment to Paulette.

Please join our family for A Celebration of Life held at her daughter’s home on August 16th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 1201 Meadowood Lane, Charlotte NC 28211. It will be outside and inside where we will be practicing social distancing. There will be food, music and love as we celebrate the life of this AMAZING woman Paulette Poole.

Instead of donations, please tip your hairdresser and hug your mothers tightly. Maybe plant a flower and remember her as you do so. She loves you!
