Milton (Wayne) Robinson, age 62, passed away on October 4, 2020 of natural causes at his home.

Wayne had worked at Cyril Bath in Monroe for a number of years. He loved the land and watching plants and trees grow and produce. He enjoyed the simple things — the quiet serenity of the woods or a visit with close friends. He loved grilling out with family and spending time with loved ones.

Wayne was a perfectionist when it came to woodworking or restoration — he had the patience required to turn it into art. He also loved TV westerns or anything that harkened back to simpler times. He lived by the creed that a man’s word was his bond. He felt that nothing was more important than the love of God, family, and friends.

Survivors include brother Dale Robinson and wife Andrea of Monroe; sisters, Bonnie Austin of Weddington, Debbie Davis and husband Mike of Huntersville, NC; five nephews, four nieces, and two great nieces. He was preceded in death by parents Milton and Mabel Robinson, sister, Dana Robinson Britt, and brother-in-law Jim Austin.

Burial service will be private and a Memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siler Presbyterian Church, 6301 Weddington Road, Matthews NC, 28104; or to a charity of your choice.

“Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1-3 (ASV)

McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to be serving the Robinson Family.
