Mrs. Alice Lin Pinkelton Baucom, age 78, of Wingate, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Alice will lie in state in the H. Vann Davis III Memorial Chapel of Davis Funeral Service, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112 on Friday, September 17, 2021 between 12:00 p.m. — 1:00 p.m.

A Homegoing Celebration for Alice will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, 4615 Olive Branch Rd, Wingate, NC 28174, officiated by Pastor Barry Byrd, Dr. Eric Cook, and Rev. Kenny Pittman. At the request of and out of respect for Alice’s family, masks will be required to attend all events.

Alice was born March 13, 1943, in Cecil County, Maryland, a daughter of the late Charlie Lincoln Pinkelton and Pearl Artie Neil Pinkelton. Throughout her life, Alice brought brightness and warmth into the lives of others. With a smile that lit up a room and a laugh that was contagious, she was a delight to be around, and a true blessing to all who knew her. A devout Christian, her love for God was evident daily. Even in times of adversity, her faith and joy within never waivered. Called to help others, Alice received her CNA certification. Being a caregiver was not only a profession for Alice, but a way of life. Full of kindness and consideration, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alice loved her family deeply, and the love that she shared on this side of eternity will be forever remembered. Always in the spirit of looking out for others, Alice planned every detail of homegoing celebration many years ago. It was her wish for the following message from her to be a part of her obituary: “I want you all to know that this does not have to be goodbye, as I am now with Jesus waiting to be reunited with all of you that follow Him”.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Tammy Jolly (Lee), Tabitha Felker (Kevin), Pebbles Little (Gary), Allen Bass Jr. (Raquel), Neil Pylant (Carol), stepdaughters Crystal Bass, Michelle Miller, a brother, Don Neil (Edna), 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Alice’s family would like to extend a special thankful to Hospice of Union County for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Alice’s honor to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC, 28112.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by a husband, Charlie Baucom, and husband Allen Bass Sr.
