MONROE — Union County Early College, located on the campus of South Piedmont Community College, gives students a head start during their educational experience. It allows them to turn an extra year of high school into a two-year associate’s degree through SPCC.

UC Early College held its Class of 2021 graduation ceremonies in Sun Valley High Stadium on Thursday (June 3) night starting at 8 p.m.

The Early College, which has 351 students in grades 9-13, according to publicschoolsreview.com, is ranked among the top 1% in the state in reading proficiency.
