7 locals make Samford’s Dean’s List

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Samford University recognized 1,703 students named to the 2021 spring semester Dean’s List.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

The List includes: Bennett Strange of Weddington, NC, Mary Queen of Matthews, NC, Caroline Bowman of Matthews, NC, Kelley Topiwala of Matthews, NC, Jackson Henry of Waxhaw, NC, Ally Bigham of Waxhaw, NC and Madalyn Thompson of Waxhaw, NC.

Gallagher makes Dean’s List at Castleton U.

CASTLETON, VT — Kathryn Gallagher of Waxhaw, NC, was recently named to the Castleton University Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2020-21 academic year, according to a report from the school.

To qualify for this academic honor, students must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
