MONROE — Election workers are needed for the Nov. 3 General Election and the early voting period in October, according to Union County Government’s communications department.
WAXHAW — Ericka McKnight is running for public office again. She is running for House 68, which is currently occupied by Craig Horn, who has served five terms. Last year, she ran for mayor of Waxhaw and said the support she received motivated her to continue vying for a seat in local politics.
MONROE — Greg Gebhardt is one of nine Republican candidates running for lieutenant governor. There are 15 total candidates running for second in command of the state.

There are seven candidates in the Union County Board of County Commissioners republican primary. Voters will be asked to choose three candidates. Steven Davis is running as a democrat and will appear on the ballot in November with the three top vote getters from Tuesday.
