MONROE — One-stop early voting for the March 3 primary election begins on Thursday, Feb. 13, and ends on Feb. 29 at seven locations in Union County.

Six potential constitutional amendments will appear on the November ballot for voters in North Carolina to decide.

There are seven candidates in the Union County Board of County Commissioners republican primary. Voters will be asked to choose three candidates. Steven Davis is running as a democrat and will appear on the ballot in November with the three top vote getters from Tuesday.

Incumbent Sheriff Eddie Cathey is facing a primary challenge from Brian Crump. No democrats filed to run, so the winner of Tuesday's primary will be unchallenged in November.
