MONROE — A Public Policy Luncheon titled “The 2020 State of Union County” will be held as a Virtual Event featuring a panel discussion about economic development, infrastructure, planning for growth in Union County and COVID-19’s impact on economic development in our community on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., according to a report from the Union County Chamber of Commerce.

The panel discussion will include Mark Watson, Union County Manager, and Chris Plate’, Executive Director for Monroe-Union County Economic Development. The discussion will be facilitated by Jeff Atkinson, Assistant Vice President for Strategic Partnerships at Wingate University.

In addition to hearing from these local leaders, virtual attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and join the discussion.

Registration for the virtual event ends Tuesday, Nov. 3. The cost is $10 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members.
