RALEIGH — The North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examiners has announced it approved seven individuals from the area for North Carolina CPA licensure in November and December of 2021.
Marvin John Lodes of Marvin, Taylor Elizabeth Irwin and Lorraine Jordaan, both of Matthews, and Benjamin Robert Elliott and Kris Ann Muller, both of Waxhaw, were approved Nov. 22, 2021; Kathryn Ann Sabol of Matthews and David Brian Ackerson of Waxhaw were approved on Dec. 13.
They make up the 22,331 CPA’s in North Carolina with current licenses. To obtain a CPA license, an applicant must pass the Uniform CPA Examination and satisfy the State’s education, work experience, and moral character requirements, according to the State Board. The Board requires CPA’s licensed to practice in the state to annually renew their license and complete at least 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education each year.
