MONROE — Following the May 14 order from N.C. Governor Roy Cooper that continues the trend of opening up communities after about 15 months of closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Union County Chamber Board of Directors has made the decision to return to in-person events beginning in August, according to a release from the organization.

The first will likely be the Small Business Meeting on Aug. 5 at the Chamber office in Monroe.

The Chamber is again scheduling in-person Ribbon Cuttings at member locations.

Also, the Union County Chamber building is currently in the middle of a “refresh.” This includes new interior paint and upgrades to the conference room and lobby.

The Union County Chamber of Commerce champions “business growth and prosperity,” according to its website.
