MONROE — Burlington Stores is opening its doors to local customers on Friday, Sept. 10 at its new Poplin Place location at 3151 W. Highway 74 in Monroe.
On Friday Sept. 10, following the ribbon cutting, the first 100 customers at each location, ages 18 and older, will be given a $5 Bonus Card to be used toward their purchase. The next day, customers will receive a free Burlington umbrella, while supplies last and no purchase necessary, according to the retailer.
As part of the grand opening, Burlington Stores will be donating $5,000 to Rocky River Elementary through their partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org. Funds will be used to support teachers and their classrooms so that they can purchase materials needed for their students.
The new store will be the national retailer’s 22nd location in North Carolina.

The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Mondays through Sundays.
