WAXHAW — The McCall family, of Waxhaw, appeared on national television on Monday morning as part of NBC’s The Today Show on the network’s “Home Plaza Cam.”
The McCalls uplifted health care workers, especially those risking their own health to provide for patients of the highly-contagious COVID-19 virus. The McCall family is invested, with Mom serving as a nurse and caring for children with COVID at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte.
The Today Show first aired in 1952 and is currently co-hosted by Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. It runs from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. on weekday mornings, and draws more than 5 million daily viewers, according to NBC.com.
