Radcliffe, Reisinger honored

READING, PA — Two student-athletes with local ties were named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll, according to a report from the school.

Abigail Radcliffe, of Waxhaw, NC, and a graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School , earned the honor as a member of women’s Ice Hockey team while studying criminal justice at Alvernia University.

Abigail Reisinger, of Matthews and a graduate of Piedmont High School , earned the honor as a member of women’s Ice Hockey and women’s Golf team.

These students are among 214 student-athletes to represent Alvernia University on the honor roll by earning a semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.

3 locals make Wofford College’s Dean’s List

SPARTANBURG, SC — Dr. Michael J. Sosulski, provost of Wofford College, has announced Dean’s List students for the Spring 2020 semester, and three of them have local ties, according to a report from the school.

Local students honored include: Netanya Linares of Waxhaw, Shivani Mahajan of Matthews and Rebecca McCoy from Matthews. Linares had a 4.0 (straight A’s).

3 locals make Dean’s List at University of Kentucky

LEXINGTON, KY — More than 2,6 undergraduate students have qualified for the Spring 2020 College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s List at the University of Kentucky, according to a report from the school.

Three locals made the List, including: Halie Maynard of Matthews, who is majoring in Biology; Shana Katz of Matthews, who is majoring in Neuroscience and Joshua Harry of Monroe, who is majoring in Physics.

Students on the Dean’s List earned 12 or more credit hours as letter grades with a minimum 3.60 GPA for the semester.
