MARSHVILLE — “Diggin’ Up Bones” was a smash hit for Randy Travis, rising to No. 1 on country music charts in the U.S. and Canada in 1986. It is a classic about “sitting alone” and “resurrecting memories of a love that’s dead and gone.” During the annual Randy Travis Fall Festival on Saturday (Sept. 17), Travis never sat alone amongst his hometown crowd, with a constant stream of fans lining up for their chance to sit beside him and get a photo with their favorite country music legend.
Randy and his wife Mary traveled from their home in Tioga, Texas to make it to the festival Saturday. Mary said they flew into Nashville and drove from there to Marshville.
