MONROE — Aw Shucks Farms was selected to host a Countdown to Christmas display from the Hallmark Channel. The display features pumpkins, bales of hay, boxes decorated like Christmas gifts and snowmen made from white pumpkins.

Aw Shucks is also partnered with One Warm Coat to provide donated coats to those in need. The farm asks guests to consider bringing a coat to donate when they visit.

Aw Shucks Farms is located at 3718 Plyler Mill Road.

This is not the Hallmark Channel’s first visit to Monroe. In 2019, they filmed a holiday movie downtown called “A Christmas Love Story” starring Kristin Chenoweth (“Glee”) and Scott Wolf (“The Night Shift”). Scenes from downtown included the Monroe Police Station, which was transformed into a Christmas tree lot, and a scene in Backstage Vintage on Main Street with Chenoweth.

This year, Hallmark started showing all new holiday movies on Oct. 22. The new movies will air every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. All season long, holiday movies will air 24 hours a day, according to the Hallmark Channel.
