RALEIGH — The North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examiners recently announced approving 82 people for CPA licensure on February 22.

Among the list of individuals approved for licensure were Indian Trail resident Jesse Christopher Nikonowicz, III; Francisco Alberto Rojas-Descalzi and Caleb Daniel Thurber, both from Matthews; and Waxhaw resident Rodrigo Cohen.

The were among 22,262 North Carolina CPA’s with current licenses, according to a release by the State Board.

According to the release, applicants for licensure are required to pass the Uniform CPA Examination and satisfy the State’s education, work experience and moral character requirements. To maintain their license, CPA’s in North Carolina are required to annually renew their license and complete at least 40 hours of continuing professional education each year.
