MONROE — Union County Sheriff’s Office detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of three suspects involved in the homicide of Ms. Alison Thomas of Monroe, N.C. The charges and arrests were made as part of an, ongoing homicide investigation that began as a missing person report on Feb. 17.
The three suspects were taken into custody on Monday (March 20). The identity of the suspects and the criminal charges that they face is as follows:
51-year-old Michael Kasminoff of Monroe, was booked in the Chesterfield County, S.C. Detention Center. Kasminoff is awaiting the service of multiple N.C. warrants for the offenses of First-Degree Murder, First-Degree Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping. Kasminoff has received a “no bond” condition of release and will remain in custody pending extradition.
27-year-old Brandon Kisiah of Monroe, was arrested in the Union County area and has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Kisiah’s conditions of release have not yet been set
42-year-old Amanda Griffin of Monroe, was arrested in the Union County area and has also been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Griffin’s conditions of release have not yet been set.
Additional criminal charges are likely. The UCSO requests that anyone with information pertaining to this matter contact the Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers. Those providing information may be eligible for up to a $5,000 reward through the Union County Crime Stoppers.
